[The CM Twin Booster set consists of two identical Grundfos CM pumps connected in parallel and mounted on a common base frame and a control cabinet incorporating motor protection and controller.
A diaphragm tank must be included in the installation. Tank capacity can be decided based on the actual application and site requirement.

Operation and functions
The pumps operate automatically according to system requirement by means of two pressure switches.
Function:
When a tap/valve is opened, water is drawn from the diaphragm tank (or bladder tank).
When the pressure drops to the first cut-in pressure, the first pump will start.
If the consumption is still rising and the pressure drops to the next cut-in pressure, the other pump will start.
When the water consumption falls, the discharge pressure rises to the first cut pressure and the controller will cut out one pump.
If the consumption is still falling, the second pump will finally fill the tank and then stop.
Grundfos controller CS 201 (single phase) or CS 200 (three phase) is used to control these pumps. Few of the

Applications
PM 1 – BASIC FLEXIBILITY
The PM1 is suitable for applications where start/stop of the pump according to consumption is required. It is the basic flexibility solution, offering pump start at 1.5 or 2.2 bar.
The PM1 starts the pump when the starting pressure is reached, and keeps running as long as there is flow.
The PM1 provides dry-running protection and a cycling alarm for increased safety. In addition, it boasts the usual Grundfos quality, which guarantees high flexibility, robust electronics, and long life.
PM 2 – ALL-ROUND CONTROL
The PM2 is the all-round control solution, offering adjustable pump start at 1.5 to 5 bar. This enables customisation to different types of installation and desired comfort levels. The start pressure is set inside the unit, whereas current pressure is read on the intuitive LED display on the front of the Pressure Manager.
The PM2 starts the pump when the starting pressure is reached, and keeps running as long as there is flow.
The PM2 is equipped with an internal pressure tank to minimise starts and stops in the event of leakage in the installation.
In addition, the PM2 can be optimised for operation with a large external pressure tank by enabling the 1-bar differential pressure function. This significantly reduces the number of operating hours of the pump in installations with a pressure tank.

SCALA2 3-45 A
Grundfos SCALA2 is a fully integrated, self-priming, compact waterworks for pressure boosting in domestic applications. SCALA2 incorporates integrated speed control enabling the keeping of the perfect pressure at the taps, meaning that the pump performance will increase with increasing demand.
SCALA2 can be installed in three easy steps:
1. Connect the pipes. 2. Prime the pump. 3. Plug the pump into the power outlet and the pump will start.

As it is self-priming, the SCALA2 is able to pump water from a level below the pump. Provided it is filled with water, the pump is able to lift water from a depth of 8 m in less than 5 minutes. This facilitates easy installation and start-up of the pump and provides more reliable water supply in installations where there is a risk of dry running and leakages in suction hose or pipes.
If exposed to dry running, water shortage or excessive temperature, blocked pump, for example in case of seizure or overload, the pump will stop automatically, thus preventing a motor burnout.
The pump features an automatic reset function. In case of dry running or similar alarm, the pump will stop. Restarting will be attempted every 5 minutes 8 times, there after new restart attempt will occur every 24 hours. The automatic reset function can be deactivated.
Thanks to its hydraulic design, permanent magnet motor and water cooling, the pump is extremely low-noise, 47 dB(A) in typical use, which makes it suitable for indoor as well as outdoor use. Max noise level at full load are 53 dB(A)
The built-in pressure tank reduces the number of starts and stops in case of leakages in the pipe system, causing less wear on the pump.

How FLOWLIMIT works

In addition to a motor that uses permanent magnet technology to reduce friction loss within the pump and a sensor that measures exactly how much flow is moving through the pump, the MAGNA3 has FLOWLIMIT technology that allows the user to precisely control the output of the pump itself.
The MAGNA3 as the ultimate balancing tool
While balancing is one of the most difficult aspects of HVAC systems, the MAGNA3 and FLOWLIMIT help take a large part of the guesswork out of it.
"You can help balance parts of the system with the MAGNA3," Anders Nielsen says. "When connected to a specific branch in the system, and regardless of pipe diameter and therefore the amount of potential friction loss, the MAGNA3 pump will circulate the exact amount of water that it has been told to circulate."
In addition, the Grundfos GO smart device controller further enables FLOWLIMIT function by giving the system operator complete control, which can also be done directly on the pump itself. Where balancing the system using throttling valves can be quite a task, the MAGNA3 allows operators to use a handheld controller, or their iOS or Android devices to talk directly to the pump. Reports on the pump's activity can be shared electronically and users can control a range of variables, including temperature, allowing them to make quick corrective changes.

Submersible drainage pump type
Vertical single-stage stainless steel submersible pump with vertical discharge port and integrated submersible 1-phase totally enclosed motor in insulation class F with thermal overload protection.
The pump is fitted with suction strainer and level switch for automatic start and stop.
The impeller is a VORTEX impeller for 35 mm free passage suitable for pumping groundwater, surface water, rain water and similar.
The pump has a double shaft seal and an intermediate oil chamber pre-filled with non-toxic special oil.
The pump has a riser pipe, a cooling jacket for continuous cooling of the motor by the pumped liquid and long-life deep-groove greased-for-life ball bearings.
The pump is ready for use as it is fitted with carrying handle and is supplied with a 5 m mains cable. The mains cable is of the plug type with glass sealing compound in the socket to prevent penetration of humidity into the stator windings.
Unilift AP Basic pumps are single-stage pumps (AP35B, AP50B) with vortex impeller. All Unilift AP Basic pumps are made of stainless steel, with a composite baseplate. The Unilift AP Basic range is designed for submerged operation, either free-standing on the base plate or installed using an auto coupling. The pump inlet is designed to prevent to large particles from entering the pump. The base plate is clipped on by means of four clips hidden under the composite ring at top of the pump housing. The ring prevents dirt from sticking to the clips. All Unilift AP Basic pumps can be supplied with or without float switch, for automatic or manual operation. Pumps with an ”A” in the type designation are fitted with a float switch. The outlet is positioned at the side of the pump and is R 2.
